Astral Light Beings

Beings from the astral plane who are normally composed of energy rather than matter that could be described as translucent glowing fluid, a collection of flames or as electrical sparks and bolts. They may originate from the Earth or even elsewhere. They can be deceased humans, ETs or can also be beings directly from the astral plane.

Astral Body

A subtle body posited by many philosophers, intermediate between the intelligent soul and the mental body, composed of a subtle material.

Astral Body Projection

The appearance of an astral body from another being (human, ET or other). These astral being projections may be perceived by the observer during the waking state of during the dream state.

Astral Projection / Travel

It is when a person achieves an out-of-body experience where their astral or light body is seperate from their physical body and capable to travel in the astral plane and to a point in time and space outside the biological body.

The astral body is sometimes said to be visible as an aura of swirling colours. It is widely linked today with out-of-body experience or astral projection.

Greer, who is the International Director. CSETI's projects include the CE-5 Initiative, and the Disclosure Project.

Coherent Thought Sequencing (CTS)

A term coined by Dr. Steven Greer for a process used to guide extraterrestrials to a contact location on Earth. The process involves visualizing moving into deep space, connecting with ETs, and then guiding them back to your location by a sequence of increasingly specific locations cues that can be likened to zooming in to your location on Earth from outside the galaxy.

Consciousness is the state or quality of awareness, or, of being aware of an external object or something within onesef. It has been defined as: sentienceawarenesssubjectivity, the ability to experience or to feelwakefulness, having a sense of selfhood, and the executive control system of the mind. Despite the difficulty in definition, many philosophers believe that there is a broadly shared underlying intuition about what consciousness is.

As Max Velmans and Susan Schneider wrote in The Blackwell Companion to Consciousness: "Anything that we are aware of at a given moment forms part of our consciousness, making conscious experience at once the most familiar and most mysterious aspect of our lives."

Contact Trilogy

CSETI communication prrotocols designed to establish a CE-5 with extraterrestrial intelligence by using modalities of light, sound and thought.

Cosmic Consciousness

Richard Maurice Bucke: ""a higher form of consciousness than that possessed by the ordinary man."

CSETI: Pure unbounded consciousness while awake or in sleep and with dreams; the first “higher state of consciousness.”

The ability of a being to unmanifest physical material objects using mind/matter technology.

A term used in certain circles to mean release by organizations hold secret information regarding UFO and ET encounters by governmental entities to the general public. This is sometimes imagined as being accompanied by an official announcement about the reality of the ET presence. “Grass roots disclosure” is a process of ordinary people gaining knowledge about the ET presence through first- hand experience.

Dream State Abilities

The experience of precognition, postcognition, remote viewing or lucid dreaming while in the dream state.

Extraterrestrial Biological Entities

Extraterrestrial Life Forms

The theoretical study of hypothetical political relations between humanity and extraterrestrial civilizations.

Extraterrestrial (ET)

Any object or being beyond (extra-) the planet Earth (terrestrial). Often used to mean a being who is not from Earth. Some people make a distinction between extraterrestrial (ET) and interdimensional (ID), others view any object or being from outside this dimension as also ET (not from Earth as we know it).

Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI)

An extraterrestrial being or non-physical entity that displays behavior that we presume requires intelligence.

Extraterrestrial Vehicle (ETV)

A more accurate name than “UFO” when describing a spacecraft of extraterrestrial origin.

A term supposedly created by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to refer to UFOs that travel through the area scanned by radar systems at great velocity. This is in contrast to conventional satellites and other slow objects that are referred to as “slowwalkers.”

Flashbulb (or Flash)

A phenomenon associated with ETs during contact events that involves a bright light appearing in the sky for a brief or in some cases for an extended period of time.

Color: They are most commonly whitish in color but can also be seen as blue, gold, yellow, amber, red.

Brightness: They can also vary significantly in brightness.  For a series of flashes, it is common that they start out with a very bright flash, then some moderatly bright flashes, trailing off into  dimmer flashes as if moving away.

Size: At arms length they can be somewhere from the size of a pea to as large as the full moon.

Sequence: Sometimes flashbulbs appear as a single flash, other times flashes will repeat in various ways (various time periods between flashes)

Location: Flashes can occur anywhere in the sky including clouds and near ground level in front of nearby objects such as trees.  They may apear several times in the same location or at various distances between flashes.

It is more common to see one flashbulb source, but sometimes it is possible to see several different ones at the same time in different locations from one another and where they could be flashing with similar or variable rythms and sequences from each other.  It has been reported that they can also form in a certain formation such as a triangle.

In some rare instances, it is also possible to see a flashbulb become a solid star like object or orb which can then move in one or several directions for an brief or extended amount of time and even change it's characteristics and then dissapear.

Flashbulbs have also been observed as being interactive, in the sense that they can suddenly appear right after somebody in the working group says something specific or asks a question, as like a confimation to what was said or asked.

Lucid Dream

A dream in which the person is aware that they are dreaming while the dream is in progress. It is often possible to exert conscious control over the dream characters and environment.

A device used to measure magnetic field strength. ET beings and craft often seem to be associated with magnetic phenomena, so a magnetometer can be used to detect their proximity even though they may not be visible to the naked eye.

Magnitude (star brightness)

A measure of brightness of an object seen in the sky by an observer on Earth. The brighter an object appears, the lower the value of its magnitude. An object with a magnitude of six or less is visible to the human eye. Objects with a magnitude greater than six require magnification or light amplification to see. The star Vega is used as a reference, with an assigned magnitude of zero.

Historically, a vehicle or chariot that allows a person to ascend or descend to higher or lower worlds. In modern usage, a merkaba is usually portrayed as intersecting tetrahedrons, which when viewed as flat figure looks like a six pointed star.

A vehicle that carries one or more smaller vehicles. An aircraft carrier is one example. A mothership may remain in an area for long periods, while smaller craft sortie to their destinations for various purposes.

Near Death Experience

Wikipedianear-death experience, or NDE, is a profound psychological event that may occur to a person close to death or who is not near death but in a situation of physical or emotional crisis. Being in a life-threatening situation does not, by itself, constitute a near-death experience. It is the pattern of perceptions, creating a recognizable overall event, that has been called “near-death experience.”

Primary Vectoring

Attracting an ET spacecraft to a research site by predetermined protocols utilizing light, sound and thought.

Remote Viewing

Remote viewing is a process that allows a person (the "viewer") to describe or give details about a target that is inaccessible to normal senses due to distance, time, or shielding. For example, a viewer might be asked to describe a location which he or she has never visited, an event that happened long ago, or an object sealed in a container.

Secondary Vectoring

Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI)

The SETI Institute is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to “explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe.” One program is the use of both radio and optical telescopesto search for deliberate signals from extraterrestrial intelligence. Other research, pursued within the Carl Sagan Center for the Study of Life in the Universe, includes the discovery of extra-solar planets, potentials for life on Mars and other bodies within the Solar System, and the habitability of the galaxy (including the study of extremophiles). The SETI Institute was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) California nonprofit organization in 1984 by Thomas Pierson (CEO), and Dr. Jill Tarter.

Sky Quake

A term for various activities that involve observing the sky. A skywatch at night may be for observing astronomical objects or events, for observing unknown phenomena (hoping for a chance encounter), or as part as an intentional request for contact with extraterrestrials.

Streak (also Shooter or Alleged Meteor)

A rapidly moving light in the sky, presumed to be associated with a spacecraft, that turns on and then back off while the craft is moving. Some streaks are ambiguous in that they resemble meteors in speed and brightness, but lack on observable trail. Other streaks are clearly not meteors due to size, speed, change in direction, or location (such as below clouds).

Ufology is the array of subject matter and activities associated with an interest in unidentified flying objects (UFOs). UFOs have been subject to various investigations over the years by governments, independent groups, and scientists.

Significant investigations include Project Sign and Project Grudge (USAF 1947- 1949), Project Magnet and Project Second Story (Canada, 1950-1954), Project Blue Book (USAF 1951-1969), GEPAN, SERPA, and GEIPAN (France, 1977- present), Project Hessdalen (Norway 1983-present), Project Condign (UK, 1996- 2000), COMETA Report (France, 1999), and the Disclosure Project (USA, 2001). In spite of being the subject of large-scale scientific studies, ufology has generally not been embraced by academia as a scientific field of study.

ufologist is a person who is involved in studies related to ufology.
